Fixed Price– An all-inclusive per kWh price that will remain the same for the term of the contract. Depending on your State, you may have customer service charges, state/local taxes billed as separate line items on your monthly bill. Variable Price-An all-inclusive per kWh price that can change according to the terms in the supplier’s disclosure statement. If you select a variable rate, the rate may change with market conditions. So, if market prices increase, your rate may increase. If market prices drop, your rate may decrease. |
Generation/Supply Price | Will be shown as either $/kWh or ¢/kWh. |
Gross Receipts Tax (GRT) | PA customers please note the State of PA charges a Gross Receipts Tax. Any pricing we display on our website will INCLUDE the price with GRT. |
Contract Start Date | Contracts always start/end on the meter read date on your monthly bill. |
Contract Term/Length | Length of Contract, in months. For example, if you have a 12-month contract starting in May, the contract will expire in May the following year. |
Time to process new contract | The EDC (meaning your local utility) typically requires 10 days to process new contracts PRIOR to the meter read date. |
Deposit Requirements | Aadvantage Power does not work with suppliers that require deposits. |
Cancellation/Early Termination Fees | Some suppliers may include early termination fees. In the event you are looking to cancel your agreement early, please contact Aadvantage Power so we can discuss your options. |
Renewal Terms | The Terms of renewal will vary from supplier to supplier. Aadvantage Power will typically contact you 45-90 days prior to expiration to provide you with renewal options. |
Customer Service Questions | Please note you can always contact Aadvantage Power with any questions regarding your bill or contract. Depending on your question, we may direct you to contact either your EDC (utility) or Supplier (your supply agreement). |
Electric Distribution Company (EDC) | This is the local utility that delivers the electricity to your property. They include monthly charges (Transmission & Distribution) in your monthly bill that are SEPARATE from your generation/supply costs. The EDC is responsible for any emergencies and/or outages. In the event of loss of power, or changes to your location/account you should contact the EDC customer service department listed on your bill. |
Generation/Supplier (aka 3rd party provider) |
AKA EGS (Electrical Generation Supplier). This is the company that you will contract with for your electrical pricing. If you have any questions on the supply portion of your bill you should contact the supplier directly. Their contact info will be listed in your monthly bill as well as on your supplier agreement. |
